I took Frech my Eighth grade year, and I knew I didn't want to take it again my Freshman year, so I switched to Spanish. Spanish is a more practical language to know, in my opinion, especially in my case sense I want to go into the medical field. SeƱora Hinds teaches all the Spanish classes, and she isn't a bad teacher, I just don't think many people respect her enough to listen to her, or nobody cares enough to learn Spanish. I would like to learn Spanish, but I sometimes feel like the vocabulary we're learning is pointless, and we should be learning words that we might ACTUALLY use! For example, we learned what the pencil sharpener and the flag were, but we haven't learned basic, important things like directions. I do well in the class, and pick up on the words fairly quickly, but I also get extremely frustrated with the class and all the confusing sentence and verb structure rules of the language. I will keep taking Spanish throughout high school, and who knows? Maybe I will take Spanish in college.
spanishThis was a test that I took on January 20, 2011. It was over the verbs saber and conocer. I did really well on the test- I got a 99%! This was definitely one of the hardest things I've learned in Spanish so far, and I hated it.spanish2This is one of my vocab lists from Spanish. The vocab covers things that have to do with shopping. The words were easy to memorize, so that particular section wasn't too unbearable.
